Job Description

Manage key simplification initiatives and related projects to increase the efficiency, effectiveness and consistency of Medline's Finance processes. Learn and execute the simplification methodology and toolset to manage multiple Finance related simplification projects and initiatives.

  • Engage employees as project manager, overseeing projects from charter to execution while insuring quality content and timely execution.

  • Establish business case, project work plan, and lead cross-functional teams for the prioritized simplification project.

  • Use process improvement methodologies such as documenting current state and future state end to end process, stake holder identification and analysis, communication plans, etc., to implement process improvements.

  • Implement innovative processes or changes that support the goals of Finance function.

  • Support strategy development across the organization, initiative identification and prioritization, and establishment of baseline measurements and success factors for each simplification project.

  • Actively participate in the identification and prioritization of simplification process opportunities by engaging with process owners across the finance function. Assist with the Simplification tools and documentation maintenance.

  • This is a high-level individual contributor role.

  • Management responsibilities limited to leading day-to-day activities and outcomes of a group of employees.

  • May be involved in hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or in a technology-related area.

  • At least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following fields: project management, financial analysis, accounting.

  • Experience in data analytics.

  • Experience processing all relevant details, understanding and prioritizing their importance and drawing clear and concise conclusions.

  • Experience taking the steps to ensure the assignment/ project is accomplished within tight timeframes.

  • Experience controlling and coordinating concurrent projects, competing priorities and critical deadlines.

  • Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).

Preferred Requirements

  • Project management or process improvement designation.

  • Experience in the indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other members of a team.

  • Knowledge of SAP and K2.
