Position Summary
This position provides administrative support to associates of the School of Education (SoE), including field experience coordinators, faculty and staff as well as supervisors in other colleges, offices and departments across campus. The position helps to manage all student field placements. This work involves assisting and supporting a variety of constituents through database maintenance, customer service and communication, as well as ongoing office support. The normal work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of computer software including Microsoft Office
- Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Knowledge and experience in the use of e-mail (i.e. Outlook, Gmail) functions including electronic calendars.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to coordinate projects, work independently and set priorities to meet the demands of the position.
- Possess an attention to details and time lines/due dates despite frequent interruptions.
- Ability to meet and work effectively with people across multiple levels of the organization.
- Ability to use discretion and good judgment regarding confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with relational database management.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft products.
- Basic knowledge of budget maintenance and reporting.
