Job Summary: As the Director of Operations, you will coordinate hotel activities in support of the General Manager, resolve problems, and ensure the smooth operation of the hotel through effective leadership and collaboration with department heads.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in daily operations and act as manager in their absence.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure proper coordination and execution of tasks.
- Model exemplary behavior to inspire staff and maximize profitability.
- Assist in selecting, training, coaching, and motivating supervisors and employees.
- Participate in developing and adhering to annual budget and revenue goals.
- Engage with guests to gauge satisfaction and address complex issues.
- Ensure safety, security, and quality standards through daily inspections and follow-ups.
- Proactively work to reduce accidents and manage workers' compensation and unemployment costs.
- Represent the property at industry-related activities, functions, and events.
- Implement and enforce company policies, cost controls, and best practices.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a neat and organized work area.
- Conduct oneself professionally at all times.
- Foster a safe working environment and report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Build positive relationships with all departments.
- Comply with the Employee Handbook policies and procedures.
- Interview, hire, and supervise staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage 3-8 subordinate supervisors overseeing 20-100 employees in various departments, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and goals.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent, or six months to one year of related experience.
- Strong language, mathematical, and reasoning skills.
- Proficiency in payroll systems, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand, sit, handle items, and communicate effectively.
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions and moderate noise levels.
