The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Manager to join our team, specializing in planning, and executing experiential events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating unique and memorable experiences that engage and delight attendees. This role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage all aspects of event planning and execution.


About the Team

At Nutanix, you have the opportunity to be part of the Experiential Marketing team, a dynamic group spread out across the US. This collaborative team is known for its strong emphasis on teamwork, creativity, and innovation. From organizing events to creating engaging experiences for our customers, the Experiential Marketing team truly thrives on bringing ideas to life.

You will report to the Sr. Director of Experiential Marketing. The work setup at Nutanix is either hybrid or remote, providing flexibility and promoting work-life balance.

Travel requirements at Nutanix for this role are up to 30%- providing the opportunity to engage with various stakeholders, attend events, and bring our innovative experiences to life across different locations.


Your Role

  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute experiential events that align with objectives and brand messaging.
  • Develop detailed timelines, and budgets in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Source and manage vendors, venues, and contractors to ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Generate innovative ideas and concepts for event themes, activations, and experiences.
  • Coordinate logistics including venue selection, catering, audiovisual equipment, transportation, and accommodations.
  • Oversee event setup, staffing, and on-site management to ensure seamless execution.
  • Manage event budgets, monitor expenses, and negotiate contracts with vendors to achieve cost-effective solutions.
  • Conduct regular meetings and communications to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns.
  • Build strong relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and exceeding expectations.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success against goals and objectives.
  • Analyze attendee feedback and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and future opportunities.
  • Prepare comprehensive event reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience developing annual events strategy, designing and managing corporate events.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills to lead the execution of our event portfolio. Someone passionate about industry and partner events, engaging audiences, driving the marketing pipeline, and creating an event strategy with a data-driven approach.
  • Management of multiple complex project plans & successfully tracking progress against plans to identify/track open issues, drive resolutions, and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Sourcing and coordinating with outside vendors for labor, shipping, printing, booth graphic production, promotional items, etc.
  • Assist in evaluating event performance by collecting appropriate data to develop post-event evaluations, measurement, and reports.
  • Meticulous expense tracking to ensure delivery within budget and monthly financial reconciliation for events assigned.
  • Must be a high-energy, agile, motivated self-starter with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Google docs
  • Must have the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 101,280 and USD $ 202,920 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
