Position Summary
The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) Internship Program offers a wide variety of exciting paid internship opportunities. The Stakeholder Engagement Department connects the airport to the community by designing and implementing engagement events and serving as the organization's connection across communities and within the organization. This internship will support the planning and execution of various events, assist in creating marketing materials, and engaging with external vendors. The Events Intern will develop essential skills in event management, stakeholder engagement, strategic communication, and project management, with direct applications in event planning, public relations, and corporate communications. This position requires working some evenings and weekends.
The anticipated length of the internship is approximately June to October 2025. The internship is full-time during the summer and part-time during the school year.

- Assist Events Coordinator in planning and executing outreach initiatives, presentations, communications, surveys, events and other forms of engagement for internal and external audiences.
- Provide support in the creation and communication of important event materials, such as varies marketing collateral, pre-event communication documents, etc.
- Support all aspects of in-person and virtual event planning and implementation as required, including execution, logistical support, coordination of design needs and post-event initiatives.
- Serve as on-site management, respond to event problems or complaints, and obtain guest feedback.
- Analyze event success, implement post-event surveys, prepare recap reports and track impact metrics.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled or graduated within the last 12 months from an undergraduate or graduate degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing Communications, Public Relations, or related degree.
- Experience using Microsoft office software, e.g., Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, as planning and event schedules demand.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable vehicle to commute between job sites.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with Adobe.
- Experience planning and coordinating virtual and in-person events.
- Experience utilizing a project management software.
