Full Job Description
Our client is looking for an eCommerce Specialist to help in an upcoming paternity leave.
High-level details:
- Hybrid onsite - preferred to be onsite each Tuesday and Wednesday, and another day onsite of your choice (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
- Starts as soon as week of 10/21/24. The first few weeks will be around 5-10 hours/week and you will work directly with the person that will be going on paternity leave.
- Starting in mid-November it will ramp up to 32-35 hours/week for about 6 weeks
- Starting in mid-January hours will decrease to about 10-15 hours/week - there is potential for this to extend or become ongoing part-time work
The ideal candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in eCommerce / digital merchandising
- Hands-on experience in CMS, eCommerce platform management experience and Meta are a must
- SEO experience/knowledge - you need to understand SEO so that when products are being set up, that the right metadata is being featured, and that the product descriptions have the right keywords set up
- Experience in tools SearchSpring, Miva, Clarity, Buffer
- Strong project management and communication skills
Plusses:
- Experience managing/mentoring - there is an Intern on the team, so it'd be helpful if you can help manage them
Primary Responsibilities:
- Generate, enhance and approve product descriptions, videos and photos
- Set up promotions, coupons, and different pricing structures on their website
- Ensure products that are being featured on marketing emails are showing up on the first page of the website, ensuring flow / user experience within the site is adequate
- Implement a merchandising strategy with landing pages, SEO copy and item placement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams - buyers and merchants, customer service, designers and external freelance contractors
- Ideal if you have experience creating back links for SEO
