FactSet is seeking a seasoned, motivated technology leader to oversee our internal technology strategy for Finance. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will manage a team responsible for both in-house and third-party software solutions that power our critical corporate finance functions. You’ll also guide relationships with vendors—including Workday—ensuring we maximize the value of these partnerships.
This role demands a close partnership with Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and their team. You’ll combine a deep understanding of technology, the Workday Platform, and core financial domain expertise to deliver innovative solutions that keep FactSet on the cutting edge of corporate finance strategy. As a trusted partner of the Finance team, you will help shape and drive direction of our internal tools and mission critical business processes.
As the Director, Workday Finance Product Owner, you will:
- Oversee System Strategy & Execution: Lead end-to-end planning, development, and implementation for all Finance systems, ensuring they remain modern, scalable, and user-friendly.
- Drive Modernization: Lead the charge in modernizing our Finance functions through the strategic adoption of emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, and automation. Drive the modernization of accounting, billing, and accounts receivable systems—fusing best-in-class technologies, including SaaS and cloud-based platforms, with FactSet’s evolving business plans.
- Enhance Data-Driven Decision Making: Partner with our Data Intelligence team to build a robust data analytics platform that empowers data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Prioritize Security, Regulatory Compliance, and Risk Management: Ensure the security and privacy of sensitive financial data by implementing robust data protection measures, risk management practices, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley).
- Guide Business Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders and technology leadership to define near-term and long-term roadmaps that balance immediate needs with strategic objectives. Interpret and translate individual asks to true user needs leveraging a product mindset.
- Communicate the Technology Vision: Develop and execute a clear communication strategy that showcases how our corporate systems align with FactSet’s growth trajectory.
- Enable Strong Partnerships: Foster close ties across business and technical teams, presenting solutions and influencing decision-making at executive (L3) and C-suite levels.
Required Skills:
- Exceptional Communication: You can confidently engage everyone—engineers, executives, and all in between—bringing clarity to complex discussions.
- 10+ Years of Leadership: A proven track record in product management and/or technology leadership, delivering complex projects in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Finance Expertise: Expertise with financial systems such as Workday, including relevant business processes, compliance needs, and best practices.
- Team Management: 5+ years’ experience leading managers of managers across distributed teams.
- Client-Centric Mindset: You prioritize customers, responding quickly to their needs with resourceful, thoughtful solutions.
- Regulatory Acumen: Comfortable incorporating compliance measures and frameworks (e.g., SOX) into technology solutions and operations.
- Adaptability: Comfortable pivoting and reprioritizing in response to evolving needs and strategies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM, Finance, Economics, related field or equivalent experience.
- Results-Driven: You consistently bring projects—and pressing issues—to completion.

The budgeted salary range for this position in the states of California, Connecticut and New York is $190,000.00 - $240.000.00.
