Standard Chartered Bank is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Sanctions Compliance Risk Analysis Control for our Tampa office. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Standard Chartered's payment processes meet strict sanctions compliance standards and in managing our Tampa-based Risk Analysis Control Team. As the Tampa lead, you'll oversee day-to-day operations, implement a fast-track training program for new and existing team members, and collaborate closely with our New York and global Sanctions Compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the Tampa Risk Analysis Control team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and alignment with global compliance goals.
- Develop and lead an accelerated training program to rapidly onboard and upskill team members, setting high standards for performance.
- Oversee sanctions compliance for in-process payments and investigative processes for payments processed by Standard Chartered Bank New York (SC NY).
- Provide expert guidance on US and UK sanctions laws, ensuring accurate interpretation and application across the Group.
- Manage List Management processes to ensure data integrity, and conduct transaction reviews to guarantee compliance with all internal and external requirements.
- Approve OFAC block and reject reporting, managing Special Requests from OFAC as needed.
- Continuously monitor and refine operational efficiency, ensuring adherence to sanctions laws and minimizing compliance risks.
- Direct the Quality Control Process (QCP) for transaction screening, ensuring adherence to Regional Sanctions Team Departmental Operating Instructions.
- Contribute to the FCC Americas Sanctions Compliance Dashboard, providing key risk metrics and insights.
- Identify, assess, and manage sanctions-related risks, ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
- Act as a regulatory liaison and ensure open, cooperative interactions with local regulators and auditors.
Ensure that team members understand and comply with all relevant sanctions regulations and internal standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, International Affairs, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Sanctions Compliance.
- ACAMS certification (or equivalent) required.
- Strong understanding of US and UK sanctions laws, with a proven track record in sanctions compliance and risk management.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive team environment.

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 104,734USD to 157,101USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
