Our client, a major Texas hospital network, is looking for a REMOTE, freelance Director of Communications and Public Relations with a consumer technology industry background to start mid-August, and continue (20 hours per week) for at least 3 months.

In this new role, the Director of Communications and PR will utilize their experience with consumer apps or technology to develop and execute internal and public relations communications and campaigns around the client's digital-first innovations, initiatives and impacts.

Director of Communications and PR Responsibilities
- Develop and execute internal employee engagement strategies that contribute to understanding and adoption of digital-first approach
- Think through how to capitalize on uniqueness of client's digital-first innovations and develop related PR strategies
- Execute PR strategies, including written media communications / pitches and outreach to targeted consumer and tech media outlets
- Maintain media list

Director of Communications and PR Requirements
- Portfolio of both internal and PR communications
- MUST have consumer tech background experience
- Experience building relationships and working with media
