DIGITAL FORENSIC MANAGER

The Position

N1 Discovery, LLC. (N1D) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Digital Forensic Manager to lead our digital forensics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital forensics, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for solving complex investigative cases. This role involves managing forensic investigations, overseeing forensic processes, and collaborating closely with our cybersecurity and eDiscovery teams.

The Details

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of digital forensic analysts and investigators.
  • Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

Forensic Investigations:

  • Oversee and manage digital forensic investigations from initiation to completion.
  • Conduct complex forensic analyses on various digital media, including computers, mobile devices, and cloud services.
  • Ensure the integrity and proper handling of digital evidence.

Client Collaboration:

  • Work closely with clients and their legal counsel to understand their investigative needs and objectives.
  • Communicate findings and provide expert testimony when required.
  • Assist clients in understanding forensic processes and methodologies.

Process Improvement:

  • Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for digital forensics.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve forensic tools and techniques.
  • Ensure the team stays updated on the latest trends and advancements in digital forensics.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with N1D's cybersecurity and eDiscovery teams on multifaceted investigative cases.
  • Coordinate with legal and IT contacts to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide insights and support for eDiscovery projects when necessary.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and accuracy in all forensic reports and deliverables.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.

The Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in digital forensics, computer science, or related field of study from an accredited university
  • Five (5) or more years of experience working in digital forensics
  • Testifying experience in State or Federal courts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to document and explain difficult technical scenarios
  • Experience with mobile and computer examinations of common ecosystems (i.e. Windows, Linux, iOS, and/or Android)
  • Experience with digital forensic software and tools (i.e. EnCase, Cellebrite, Magnet AXIOM, FTK, etc.)
  • US citizenship

  • Ability to work in a team environment and also independently
  • Occasional travel and work on nights/weekends as needed to meet client goals

What Will Make You Stand Out?

  • Industry certification(s) such as EnCE, CCME, CFCE, CCE, or similar
