The role:
We’re looking for a data & website management coordinator to join our team! Our Office of Equity & Civil Rights ensures equitable project and service delivery and equitable contracting practices for all of Oregon's communities. In this role, you will provide research, data analysis, report preparation, trending and evaluate performance related to the Office of Equity & Civil Rights programs. You will collect, compile and evaluate qualitative and quantitative information and statistical data and provide reports to agency partners. You’ll also assist in planning, developing and organizing projects for researching alternate means of reporting and data presentation. A day in the life:

  • Gather and compile data from a variety of sources, collaborate with others for research information related to workforce development, disadvantaged business enterprise and small business administration.

  • Provide quality assurance on data processes and procedures.

  • Research, analyze and provide recommendations for data requests received and advise on capabilities and limitations of the information available.

  • Provide data via reports to program staff for research and planning.

  • Use report generating software and write queries with C#, python, structured query language (SQL) and other tools to retrieve and organize data from various databases and files.

  • Summarize complex data into various formats, write reports and create tables, graphs and charts.

  • Develop and maintain our intranet and internet sites.

  • Represent our office at meetings, committees and discussion groups regarding website, standards and policies.

  • Research what information the public and agency needs access to, gather data, present it to the public through our website and monitor databases.

  • Identify the effectiveness and maintenance of contract files, including creating new files and electronic archiving of closed files.

  • Work in an office environment with hybrid work options available – the person in this position can work remotely from once a week to twice a month depending on business needs.

  • May require visiting construction sites and overnight travel throughout the state.

Minimum qualifications:
Three years experience as a research assistant comparable to the work of a research analyst 1; or two years experience using computer applications to help gather, compile, analyze, and report information and statistical data.
OR
A bachelor's degree in any discipline that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures.

  • Customer service oriented, including experience working collaboratively on a team.

  • Experience writing effective technical narrative and statistical reports.

  • Experience developing and presenting reports in tabular, graphic or pictorial form, and in PowerPoint.

  • Experience using statistical software and writing queries with C#, python, structured query language (SQL) to edit and tabulate data.

  • Experience analyzing, interpreting and explaining technical data and reports.

  • Knowledge of data integrity and ethics principles.
