This position is responsible for the print center at TTC's Bloomington facility, including timely and accurate processing of printed materials, delivering excellent customer service and ensuring overall cleanliness and maintenance of equipment. This role will also provide backup support to the mail center as needed.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
Print Center Responsibilities (70-80%)
- Operate and maintain all print center equipment including copiers, lamination machine, cutters and other print production equipment to complete projects.
- Complete requested print projects from order receipt to delivering a quality product that is finished on time. Projects include weekly printing of manuals, posters (includes mounting), printing badges, brochures, training manuals/guides, all employee mailers, making pads of paper (reel pads)
- Ensure proactive communication to customers about project status, and other information needed to complete the project.
- Maintain a timely production schedule to ensure all printing and copying deadlines are met.
- Replenish toner/ink and supplies as needed.
- Troubleshoot and fix common repairs/tasks (paper jams, cleaning, simple parts replacement).
- Report more severe issues to our approved vendors.
- Provide superior customer service that meets the scope and guidelines of the department.
- Maintain confidentiality in all jobs processed through the print center.
- Ensure the print center is organized, clean and accessible during regular working hours.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Mail Center Responsibilities (20-30%)
- Sort and distribute documents and incoming mail and shipments.
- Process outgoing mail and shipments including international, overnight, and special delivery in accordance with all applicable regulations, processes and procedures.
- Maintain paper supplies throughout the Bloomington facility.
- Coordinate shipments to and from the offsite storage and follow the retention policy.
- Monitor, gather and send confidential shred bins for shredding as needed.
- Process invoices and statements, which include folding, inserting, and mailing using specialized equipment.
- Scan and process invoices.
- Serve as back-up receptionist.
- Complete special projects as required.
What Do You Need?
To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a print shop or copy center environment, using and maintaining production printers and bindery equipment including, but not limited to: black and white copier, color copier, production print equipment, laminator, Mac and/or Windows computers, large-format poster plotter, paper cutter.
- Experience with handling computer files (should be able to discuss file formats and understand how PDFs work) along with expertise in scanning technologies.
- Proficiency in: InDesign, Acrobat, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Flexibility in dealing with simultaneous projects - demonstrated ability to multi-task.
- Collaborative team player with ability to communicate and work across levels and departments, where flexibility, adaptability, and resiliency are important.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism.
- Strong initiative required; ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.

Competitive Salary - The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the hour pay range is between $21 - $24 per hour. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package.
