COPY EDITOR
Excellent proofreading skills are required .
Familiarity with AP style is a plus.

Job includes checking stories for factual errors , grammar , spelling , punctuation and usage . Writing headlines and captions as required; completing page design and layout as assigned ; designing special sections as assigned ; covering pre - press technician on days off , including generating classified pages , TV book and special sections for print . Covering ad services and layout position on days off , scheduling advertising and transmitting ads to customer for proofing , and page layout .
