Job Purpose
To manage construction work and resource assignments in the most efficient, cost effective way to meet the work plan for National Grid based on workforce availability, performance, geographic optimization and schedule optimization.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of short and long-term Opex and Capital construction projects, as well as emergent work
Manage, balance and coordinate internal resources in order to optimize short and long term resource needs and deliver against agreed program of work
Monitor and review work undertaken by project team in order to ensure appropriate use of materials, tools, equipment or resources and adherence to schedules
Identify scheduling and need date risks due to resource constraints, field conditions, material and or equipment issues, and recommend appropriate action
Facilitate weekly construction meetings with stake holders to ensure optimum scheduling and compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years of experience working on Opex and Capital construction projects preferred
- Strong work ethic
- Exceptional organization skills
- A valid driver's license with a safe driving history that meet's National Grid's Safe Driver policy is required.
More Information
Salary: $75,000 - $88,000
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
