Description:
MFC is seeking a Contracts Management professional for a position in Arlington, TX to support THAAD Program pursuits with contract administration, negotiations, metrics, and future contract planning.
What You Will Be Doing
- Duties include:
Performs contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration through contract closeout.
Works under very general supervision. Contributes to the completion of organizational projects and goals by performing tasks requiring discretion and general knowledge and ability.
Provides business advice and guidance to and coordinate with other functions including program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations.
Serves as authorized, empowered representative for the Company as interface with Customer buying representatives responsible for building effective relationships and managing contracts to support business goals and objectives.
Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of standard concepts and principles.
Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Refers to policies and practices for guidance.
Coordinates solutions to contractual issues and Customer concerns related to Company performance. Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions.
Leads and supports audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance.
Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. May plan and participate in training of contract practices within Company. Collect contractual data and compiles reports in response to Corporate and Business Area requests.
Reviews and evaluates customer requests for proposal or revisions to contracts; provides risk assessments and offers alternative approaches to mitigate risks, including alternative contractual language.
Evaluates and coordinates proposals; investigates and reconciles significant contract changes involving cost, specifications, schedules, etc.
This position may require some travel.
For a level 2, Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Master's degree.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 3 years of professional experience; or 1 year of professional experience with a related Master's degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Should be detail oriented and able to work in a virtual team environment
Proven ability to develop internal and external relationships
Must be able to coordinate DCAA and DCMA activities including audits, performance-based payment plans, etc.
Must have excellent presentation skills, strong analytical abilities, and be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
The qualified individual must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communications with all internal and external customers and possess excellent business acumen
Ability to travel as required for this position
Desired Skills:
Prior Contracts Negotiation experience
Prior Contracts experience working with MDA (Missile Defense Agency) or prior work experience working THAAD
Electronic Contracting Environment (ECE) experience
Familiarity with the IWTA system and related policies and procedures
Proven experience negotiating and administering a variety of fixed price type (FFP, FPIF) and cost type (CPFF, CPIF) contracts
Ability to engage in routine and unique problems/issues to help develop solutions for multi-million-dollar complex contracts
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
