Business Development Manager - Legal Firm - Fulltime
Full Job Description
Our client is a global law firm, and they are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team.
Please note: this role will be onsite M-Th, and candidates can sit in New York, Boston, or Philly.
The Business Development team is responsible for understanding the competitive landscape, building and maintaining client relationships, conducting research, and developing strategies to expand the firm's client base and revenue.
With a focus on strategic investment, astute budget management and data-driven insights, the Business Development Manager contributes significantly to the firm's success by ensuring it remains competitive and adaptable in the dynamic legal industry while facilitating and delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
- Support practice generation-focused programs and activities
- Identify specific clients to target for increased revenue generation - develop plans
- Identify cross-collaboration opportunities for clients to expand work across new practice areas and geographies- develop plan
- Prepare RFPs/Pitches and track activity
- Plan for, drive, and host internal firmwide calls and working group, practice, industry, and initiative meeting
- Drive follow up and execution on BD plans
- Maintain budgets; prepare business cases for budget requests throughout fiscal year; track and report ROI
- Prepare and report/analyze -top clients, client work by practice, client work by segment, RA/AIC lists, matter descriptions/narratives, etc.
- Plan/drive annual partner meeting planning including breakout sessions
- Develop business development goals and drive/execute
- Events: identify specific client targets for inclusion to attend, track follow up/action items - partner with marketing to execute (they arrange the details for all in-person and webinar)
Our client offers medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees can enroll in the companys 401k plan, as well as a deferred compensation plan. Employees will also receive eight hours of vacation leave every month and twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year, and will be able to purchase company stock, are eligible for annual bonuses, and can participate in profit sharing.
