Overview:
The New York Life Institutional Annuities Business Analysis team is offering and exciting opportunity in which the ideal candidate will work closely with our business partners to modernize and enhance its current and future technology platforms, identify and articulate process improvements while engaging with various teams at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will be responsible for proactively engaging with business partners to elicit, clarify and clearly articulate needs. He or she ensures requirements equate to business value and are delivered as requested, partners with delivery teams throughout the development, testing and delivery phases, informs timely of obstacles and challenges, and continuously learns the business through training and product development.
Desired Experience:
- 2-5+ years of Business Analysis, Management Consulting, or similar experience
- Well versed with collaborative tools e.g., Jira, Tableau, Confluence, SharePoint
- Business analysis and systems analysis experience
- Excellent presence and experience in communicating to all levels.
- Highly innovative, flexible, and self-directed
- Results-oriented person with a delivery focus
- Handles multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Previous experience working within the Life Insurance or Annuities Industry would be a plus.
- Previous experience working with Policy Admin System, Correspondence Generation Tool is a plus.
- Knowledge of NYL products would be a plus.
- Experience working within agile and waterfall methodologies to deliver large complex projects.
Skills:
- Excellent critical thinking and analysis thinking
- Ability to articulate clearly with all audiences at various levels.
- SQL+ knowledge preferred but not required
- Ability to map process flows and articulate impacts.
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently to meet deliverable.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Master's degree preferred but not required.
- Certifications in Business Analysis, Agile - preferred but not required.
