GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
The Assistant Maintainer will assist the Engineering Maintainers in the operation and maintenance of all types of heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, including but not limited to chillers, fans, pumps, air compressors, cooling towers, pneumatic and electronic controls, and the cleaning of machinery spaces. Other duties as assigned.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Assist in servicing air compressors, cooling towers, and control equipment
Assist in operation of HVAC equipment
Clean and maintain machinery spaces
Monitor gages and thermometers, and assist with readings
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Valid New York City Fire Department Refrigeration Operator's License
One year experience in an HVAC role, a related field, or successful completion of an established HVAC technical program.
Must have an ability to operate assorted power tools
KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATION:
Valid New York City Fire Department Refrigeration Operator's License
High school diploma or equivalency is require
Technical trade background is preferred
COMPENSATION RATE:
$23.55961 - $28.98068 / Hour
The advertised starting salary rate reflects the good faith minimum and maximum hourly rate for this role. Starting salary rates are set in accordance with established union rates provided by the economic agreement as established and negotiated by DC 37 and the City of New York, Office of Labor Relations. * Incumbent rates may vary depending on an individual employee's seniority status, and/or based on terms as provided by the DC 37 Local 1503 and Museum collective bargaining agreement.
