Our healthcare nonprofit client in the Mid-Cities area is looking for a FREELANCE hands-on Art Director to join their team within the next month,40 hours per week, with the intention to convert to full-time employment within 6 months.

This role requires 5 days onsite per week at the client's Bedford, TX, office.

As the only design-focused member of a fast-growing, young marketing team, the Art Director will concept, design, manage and produce all print and digital projects. Promotional / campaign work with calls to action is a huge part of this role.

Other projects include campaign logo lockups, donor communications, print materials such as posters and mailers, TV commercial graphics, digital ads, email, web and social.

Art Director Responsibilities
- Concept, design, produce print and digital materials
- Design logo lockups for campaigns and promotions
- Contribute to team brainstorming sessions on promotions
- Lead kick-off meetings for design projects
- Oversee work by outsourced creatives and agencies
- Edit and proof work
- Ensure print materials are print-ready
- Identify solutions when challenges arise
- Maintain knowledge of creative and design trends
- Mantain brand and style guide
- Organize and maintain project files and creative assets

Mac laptop and PC will be provided.

Art Director Requirements
- Portfolio with varied print and digital consumer promotional type work - nonprofit background not required
- Strong understanding of engaging visual design that attracts attention and encourages action
- Strong print production skills
- Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- 5+ years' experience in art direction, conceptual, creative,but hands-on design required
- Associates degree or higher required
