The Opportunity
As the Americas Sales Leader - Modern Apps and Data, you will lead our NKP (Kubernetes) and NDB (Database) business units, working with our enterprise and commercial organizations to drive business with our most important customers. You will work within an extended team of sales, technical, partner, and consulting resources to drive the pipeline with customers and prospects and to achieve/exceed quarterly pipeline, sales, and adoption targets in the Americas. We are looking for a leader who is a builder - a key part of the role will be building the go-to-market in the field and the ecosystem. You will report to the WW Leader for Modern Apps and Data and work in a fully remote setup, offering flexibility and convenience to meet your work-life balance needs. You will work closely with your team virtually to achieve shared objectives efficiently. The travel requirements provide you with the chance to engage directly with clients and build strong relationships, playing a crucial role in driving business growth and customer satisfaction. Your interactions during travel will not only enhance your professional network but also give you valuable insights into the needs and challenges of various clients, contributing to the success of the team and Nutanix as a whole.

Your Role
- To hire, develop and lead a world-class Database and Kubernetes specialist sales team
- To segment the market and ensure appropriate coverage to achieve market leadership
- To drive pipeline through Marketing, Channel and Field activation
- To achieve quarterly bookings and goals
- To ensure successful post-sale adoption of NKP and NDB licenses
- To manage the weekly forecast review process, ensuring appropriate qualifications of the Why Anything, Why Now and Why Nutanix
- To lead deal reviews and to follow our MEDDPICC sales methodology
- To be the exec sponsor on our strategic customers
- To continuously educate oneself to upskill in the wider Modern Apps and Database market, as well as continuing to build your leadership skills
- To influence product roadmap and strategy by providing feedback to product marketing and engineering on current and future product requirements and sales blockers encountered
What You Will Bring
- A combination of 10+ years of experience with Modern Apps and/or Database Solutions Sales and Sales Leadership and/or relevant Software sales/leadership experience
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-adapting environment, working with cross-functional teams and leveraging company resources to drive sales using a combination of top-down and bottom-up tactics
- Experience growing products from early adopter customers to established strategic partnerships
- Experience with Kubernetes Solutions such as Rancher, VMware Tanzu, AWS, Azure and/or database solutions like Oracle, SAP, MongoDB, Postgres, SQL Server and/or others.
- Job will likely require extensive travel.
